As an Art Director, I collaborated on a project between the cosmetic brand Soda and Sanrio. I was responsible for developing the packaging, creating product and lifestyle photos for the products, and also served as the producer for the accompanying videos.
Working on this project, I designed the packaging and conducted product still life photography for fifty-two SKUs. The collection was divided into three characters (Hello Kitty, Kuromi, My Melody), and I made sure to capture the individuality and personality of each character while maintaining the overall stylistic coherence and preserving Soda's brand DNA. This involved a meticulous balance between showcasing the unique traits of each character and ensuring that the essence of the Soda brand shone through consistently in every aspect of the design and visual representation.
Another integral part of the project was a lifestyle photoshoot with models for social media purposes, which we conducted in Tokyo. This photoshoot involved bringing the products to life in a real-world setting, showcasing how they are used and integrated into everyday scenarios. By conducting this photoshoot in Tokyo, we tapped into the vibrant and trend-setting atmosphere of the city, enhancing the visual storytelling and connecting the products with a broader social media audience in an engaging and culturally relevant way.
